Stop listening to self proclaimed Network Marketing Guru’s? If you want to Grow!
I know what you may be thinking? “OK Jose if you say stop listening to self proclaimed Network Marketing Guru’s, why should we listen to you?”
Well honestly you shouldn’t! OK OK let me back track a little and tell you why I believe we as Network Marketer need to trust our own instincts more.
When I first started my Network Marketing business I honestly made it harder then it should have been. I would spend hours reading books on Network Marketing. I would also spend hours searching the Web for more information that would help grow my business faster, but all I would ever find was websites of self proclaimed Guru’s who wanted me to sign up for their newsletter, or who won’t share information unless I joined their company. Now I have found some great information that has helped grow my business, but I had to filter through a lot of information to get those nuggets.
What I mean by we need to trust our own instincts is people who learn to connect with others will succeed faster then people who just learn how to say the right things to someone. My business grow when I stopped listening to other people’s advice and started trusting my own instincts on how to connect with a new person. When we are young and making friends, we didn’t read books or talked to an up line to make that new friend connection. We just make it! We walk up to someone and start talking, sometimes we make a new friend and some times we don’t. When prospecting for new partners for your business it should basically be the same, walk up to someone, introduce yourself, and just try to make the connection. Do Not Sell them on your business! All you are trying to do is make a new connection, PERIOD! Eventually as the connection grows they will become interested in what you do and join you in your adventure, but if not that is OK too because now more then anything you have made a new friend and that could be worth more then just signing someone up for your business.
Our business is very unique, yes we do have products and services, but people do not join because of these things. People join your business because they trust that together you will be able to achieve their goals.
“You will make more friends in a week by getting yourself interested in other people than you can in a year by trying to get others people interested in you (Arnold Bierce).
