The Five People that make up your Home-Based Business
In your business there are only five types of people in your group, each is unique and very important. How well you understand them will determine your success with each.
Retail Customer-Retail customer are people who are only interested in buying your product
Wholesale Customer-Wholesale customers are people who are members and may or may not be on a auto ship. There main interest is buying the product at wholesale price.
Wholesale Builder- Wholesale builders are people who buy wholesale, use the product, and have build a small to medium size business
Renegade-Renegades are Business builders who want to build big, but do not follow any system and in turn have a hard time growing
Business Builder-Business builders are people who build huge businesses, these are the leaders in your group
The biggest mistake we make is training everyone the same. If you have someone who is strictly a wholesale customer and that is all they want to be, then all they need to know is how to buy the product at wholesale, some product information and maybe how to sign someone up to buy wholesale. Training on how to build a business really should only be offered to Business Builders, because that is the group that wants to build a business. You can offer training to a Renegade, but you will find that they want to do their own thing, so let them.
Even though Business Builders are the leaders in your group, it is important to remember that the bulk of your volume will come from your wholesale customers and wholesale builders. So it is important that you treat these members with importance. Make sure they have everything they need, but no more. It is a mistake to give this group more information then they ask for, they are not interested in knowing what your Business Builders are interested in. I know we would love to have everyone in our group be Business Builders, but the reality is that 80% of those in our group will only be product users, the other 20% will be Wholesale Builders, Renegades, and Business Builders. So do not feel offended if certain people do not want to attend opportunity meetings or trainings.
If you want, make it a point to ask people in your group what group they fall in. If you let them identify themselves to you, then it is easy to see what kind of training they need and want. Going about it this way will help you save time and energy.

Why I believe Everyone should be in Network Marketing
In my opinion everyone needs to be involved in a Network Marketing company. I don’t care what company, I don’t care if you have been personally involved in a MLM or direct sales company in the past and made no money. I don’t care about the state of the economy, I don’t care if you don’t think you have the skills to run a business, I don’t care if you think its a Pyramid, and I don’t care if you like the product. The only thing I care about is that you understand that an MLM business can create you the money you need to live a lifestyle you dreamed about.
Past Experience In an MLM Business
Let’s get sometime straight! If you did not succeed in your first MLM venture, it was attribute to one of two things. The Team you joined or You didn’t work your business. Even though you are in business for yourself, people need to realize it is a team effort. Your success is directly linked to your up-lines success. Now there will always be those that do it alone, but 80% of new distributors work better with someone helping them along the way. When I first started I was blessed to join the fastest growing team in the company. Since I was new to the industry, having such a strong up line help because I could contact them when I needed a three way call or just for an answer to one of my questions. Having a team that wants you to succeeded helped keep me motivated to build my own business, even when I swear I was not growing.
So if you had a strong supportive up line in your past MLM experience, then the reason you didn’t grow was because you refused to work your business. For whatever reason people with a get rich mentality think that they will be able to grow a million dollar business by talking to only a few people. So when those first few refuse to join their business, they get discouraged and stop talking to anyone all together. Cold Reality Moment! If you want to build a million dollar business YOU HAVE TO TALK TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE about your business. Quick History lesson! In the history of business, No company has every become a multi-million dollar company by only sell their product to a few people. If you are afraid to promote your business or opportunity, then save your money and stay away from Network Marketing.
The State of the Economy Has Nothing to do with your Success
Let’s get something straight! We can be in a Depression and I guarantee your business will still grow! You ask how can I guarantee your business will grow, even in a down economy? Simple, It a matter of three little words, Power of Duplication! Think about it! Network Marketing is really building a business where everyone is doing a little retailing. I am going to show you how a business like this grows. You sign up 3 people and help those 3 people just sign up 3 each. If you did that you would have 3+9=12 people in the first month not bad. Now if you duplicate that over the next 8 months, everyone new just signs up 3 people. You would have 19,683 people in your business by month nine. In my company that would mean you would make over $140,000 a month in residual income. I love the Power of Duplication. We all know 3 people who want to make a difference in their life.
Plus most MLM opportunities have very low start-up cost. You can basically start you multi-million dollar business with as little as $100 dollars a month. Now I know you are asking well what if I don’t have a $100 dollars to spare a month, then I suggest you borrow it or save up for it. You would agree that if you actually look at your spending, you have the money, you just are spending it on useless items. If you really Do Not have the money, then i suggest you stay away from Network Marketing cause their is no guarantee you will make any money. Again all we should be offering to new prospects is an opportunity, not a guarantee!
I don’t have the skills to run a Business!
If you don’t think you have the skills to run a Business, You are probably right! You Don’t! But that doesn’t mean you can’t Borrow the skills you lack from someone else. In the world of business, No one person has all the skills to run a business. It doesn’t matter if your name is Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, or Oprah. None of them have ALL the skill required to run a business. The old saying goes if you do not have a certain skill, borrow it from someone else. Or in our case recruit someone that has the skill you are looking for. If you lack presentation skills, recruit someone who can present. If you lack computer skills, recruit some who has computer skills. You don’t have it! Recruit it!
I need to like what I am selling
I am going to give you a little business advice. You don’t have to personally like what you are selling. I can name thousands of businesses that offer items that the owners can not be excited to market, but it doesn’t matter cause there are millions of customers that still buy them.(ex buttons, staples, plastic knives, etc) Want to know something crazy. The owners are still making millions offering these items to customers. It is a rookie mistake thinking you have to personally like or get results from the items you are offering. I can guarantee that there will be customers you sell to that will have amazing results with your product. Get behind those testimonials! In my opinion if the science or research behind the product says it works, then it probably does.
So if you are looking for an opportunity that can change your life! Network Marketing is a way to create a stream of income that can be passed on to future generations.
